“Displays the compassionate heart of Jesus in mistering to the needs of others while moving towards the cross and His own death.” → Jesus could have said, “You know guys I need a little bit of me time. I got a lot on my mind. I got something really heavy that I got to prepare for now. Do you know what kind of stress is being laid on me? But instead of casting them away He continues to have  love and  compassion on them. Even at the most important and stressful time of His life.

Note that beginning in chapter 19 we now enter into the final the final phase of the Gospel of Matthew. From here on out we have the final presentation of the King and the final rejection by the nation Israel. We have Jesus moving towards His passion and death.
