Matthew 14:22……Ready
14:22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, (The disciples probably assumed Jesus was going to catch up with them later by walking along the shore line) while he dismissed the crowd. Extended Sermons
“Teaches how the Lord protects us from poisonous & harmful influences that can lead us down the wrong path.” → The Lord knows when were easily susceptible in being led astray by others. If not careful the crowd’s excitement becomes contagious, when zeal can blind us to truth, or when our own appetites and emotions threaten to lead us astray. In those moments, it is the Lord who stands faithful, gently redirecting our steps. By learning to pause, seek wisdom, and move forward with intention, we allow our faith to mature beyond surface-level enthusiasm. Instead of seeking safety in numbers or validation from others, we are invited into a deeper reliance on God. Let us not be people who fall prey to the frenzy of the crowd, the fleeting passions of the moment, or the subtle dangers of our age. Let us not be swept away by the world’s excitement or led astray by our own desires. Let religious fervor in worship be influenced and measured against scripture and the promptings of the Spirit.
“Even today, will you stay the course and follow God no matter the storms, challenges, or dangers ahead” ⇒ Life’s journey is much like setting sail on uncharted waters. With each stroke of the oar and unfurling of the sails, we are propelled into the unknown. Trust becomes our compass, steering us toward possibilities we cannot yet see. As we navigate through calm seas and turbulent storms alike, we learn that the path, though unseen, is laid out with a purpose. Embrace the uncertainty with grace, for it is within these moments that we find our strength and resilience. Every step forward, no matter how hesitant, brings us closer to our true potential and who God created u to be.

Teaches how following Jesus is not about our will but His will. What the Lord Commands we obey without argument, debate. or choice.
Warns the dangers of mob mentality, superficiality, and peer pressure. Religious leaders stirred up the crowds to demand Jesus’ crucifixion over Barabbas, even though Pilate found no grounds for The Israelites were pressured into making a golden calf while Moses was away on Mount Sinai.
Displays the heart of obedience that will do what the Lord says even though we want the Kingdom and its blessings now.
Calls for staying focused on God’s ways, that were going to get there the way God wants and not the way the world wants or the crowds want.
Teaches how oftentimes God never gives the details; He’ll simply sets the direction and expects us to obey. Will you follow God without having to understand everything? Know you don’t need a lot to move forward in faith.
Displays how Jesus may not be physically with us, but He expects us to continue on our journey and meet up with Him on the other side of heaven. .
