“Teaches how the character of a person’s life (good or bad) is evidenced by the fruit of their words or actions.” → We know this is so true. When you meet someone and begin to spend time with them, you talk to them and get to know them. Over time, as months go by you start to see who they really are and what they value. One of the signs will be what they want to talk about over and over again, usually a longer time than you want to talk about. Their going to share with you the most important things in their lives. Things that they are most excited about, passionate about, or afraid about. If you get to know them long enough you’ll start to notice their reactions under pressure, You begin to notice what comes out when they’re tired, when they’re stressed, when they’re disappointed, when they’re not trying to impress anyone. The way they speak when they’re frustrated. Their words reveal their values. Their reactions reveal their maturity. Their habits reveal their priorities. Their treatment of others reveals their heart.” You don’t have to guess who a person is; their fruit eventually tells the story. “And the same is true for us. Ask the people around who are reading the fruit of our lives every day. They hear what we say when we’re frustrated. They see how we respond when things don’t go our way. They notice whether we build others up or tear them down. They feel whether our presence brings peace or tension, encouragement or criticism, grace or judgment. We may not realize it, but our fruit is preaching a message long before our mouths ever do.” Jesus is not calling us to judge others harshly or warning us to stay away from such people— He’s calling us to be honest about ourselves. What kind of fruit is my life producing? What do my words reveal about my heart? What do my patterns say about my character? Because the truth is, people around us already see it. They experience the fruit of our lives long before we admit what’s growing in us. And Jesus invites us not to hide it, excuse it, or pretend it isn’t there, but to let Him transform the root so the fruit can finally change.”
“Teaches as you stay rooted in God’s word, meditating on scriptures, praying, worshiping, etc. good will come out.” → By feeding your soul daily with the things of God, good will come out because good is being put in. A heart saturated with the presence of God can’t help but produce good fruit. When your mind is being renewed daily, your reactions start changing. When your spirit is being nourished, your desires start shifting. When your heart is being filled with truth, your speech starts sounding like truth. Because whatever you consistently pour into your inner life eventually overflows into your outer life. A person who is storing up Scripture begins to think with clarity instead of confusion. A person who is storing up worship begins to walk in peace instead of panic. A person who is storing up prayer begins to respond with faith instead of fear. A person who is storing up Christian teaching, sermons, devotionals, and godly content begins to develop discernment instead of drifting. And the opposite is true as well. If you fill your heart with worldly noise, worldly values, worldly entertainment, and worldly voices, then worldly fruit will show up. Not because you’re a bad person, but because you’re feeding the wrong thing. When you’re home relaxing on your day off, what are you watching and listening to? Are you getting on your YouTube, your Netflix, Your TikTok, your Myspace, Twitter, Facebook? Or are you spending it reading inspiring material, listening to sermons and uplifting music? Did you know that your off‑time is shaping you just as much as your on‑time. Because your downtime reveals your direction. What you consume in private shapes who you become in public. If your rest is filled with endless scrolling, worldly entertainment, and voices that pull you away from God, then your spirit will reflect that. But if your rest is filled with truth, worship, teaching, and things that stir your faith, then your spirit will reflect that. If you want your character to reflect heaven, then heaven must be what you’re feeding on. The outcome of your life is shaped by the intake of your heart. As someone once said: “You can’t plant spiritual seeds and reap worldly fruit. You can’t plant worldly seeds and reap spiritual fruit.”
“Even today, when people interact with us, do they encounter the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness. Or do they see someone who is always bitter, angry, divisive, and judgmental.” ⇒ ……….(To be Continued)
