Matthew 11:6…………Working
11:6 Blessed (approved, secure) is the man who does not fall away (offended, stumble, scandalized, stigmatized, dismayed) on account of me. (In context a word of caution to John not to stumble over Jesus’ Messiahship because of his imprisonment. In a wider context a call not to stumble over Jesus’ exclusivity, divine claims, radical teachings, humble character, arrest, crucifixion, etc.)
Continued From Book
“Warns against falling away just because Jesus doesn’t meet our expectation of how we think He should act.” ⇒ Instead of depending on our preconceived notions of how we think God should act in ourl ife we need to go to God’s Word and find out what scripture has to say and align it it up with God’s own Word. Often times we tend to think that when God has not done something we want Him to do, or we think He should have done, we get disappointed, thinking God has let me down, He didn’t intervene when He should have. He didn’t show up when we think He should. And as a result we end up retreating from God. Eventually becoming angry and bitter.
Calls for not allowing what we don’t understand to keep us hung up and tethered from believing in Jesus. ⇒ Even though there’s things in our life we don’t understand will you trust that God is big enough to handle it…………(To be Continued)
“Calls for not getting offended if God doesn’t do what we want Him to do. Don’t get offended just because other people are seeing miracles and getting their prayers answered and your not. ⇒ Have you ever thought why did so and so get delivered for their addiction and you did not. Or why do some people get set free while we’re still imprisoned. Why do some people get healed and your still suffering.
