Prepares believers how life doesn’t always turn out as we expected or dreamed, that the future, family, and career we we’re preparing for is not what God had in mind. (All of us will face difficult dilemmas that will require tough decisions. Will you stay trusting God even if things don’t turn out as you had planned?)
-
Displays Jesus’ divine origins and humanity, that Jesus was both fully God and fully man. That Jesus by coming into our broken world understands what’s it like to be human. He knows what’s its like to be weak and vulnerable. He knows what’s its like to struggle and suffer. He knows what’s its like to be lonely, hurt, and rejected.
-
Teaches how Jesus’ coming to a person is never a work of man’s ingenuity or preparation, but solely a work of God’s grace alone!
-
Calls for believing in the miraculous and supernatural work of God no matter what the facts may dictate. (Will you keep trusting God even if it defies logic and human reasoning?!)
-
Prepares believers in thinking about how we would respond to an unexpected or unwanted pregnancy. (Will you trust that God has a purpose for that child and not what culture would dictate in giving it up for adoption or having an abortion!)
-
Cautions believers against jumping to any wrong conclusions, that what may seem as obvious immorality and betrayal may not be true! (Rather than jump the gun will you accept the possibility that you may be wrong?)
-
Teaches how even from our greatest hurts and betrayals God is working out His best for our life’s!
-
Calls for allowing oneself to be used by God even if it comes at the cost of being disgraced, shamed, and humiliated.
Note: According to Luke’s Gospel gives additional detail from Mary’s perspective. Detailing how the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God”-(Luke 1:35)

I got the book and I’ve had it for a while added to a collection of others and I hadn’t gotten around to reading it I just skimmed through it a few times. BUT I have time to really look into it now. And I don’t mind telling you THANK YOU FOR THIS BOOK. we’re coming to the closing of a series our pastor has had us doing called Following The 72 Steps
Of Jesus. This Book has covered that and beyond. I am just at the beginning now but it’s “meaty” I’ll be dining here often 😊. I can reference this book to add comments during our bible studies and for many other studies as a student of the word.
